Four UND Football Players Earn Summit League Preseason Honors

Four University of North Dakota football student-athletes have been named to the 2023 Summit League Preseason All-Summit League Team.

Wide receiver Bo Belquist, linebacker Devon Krzanowski, offensive lineman Zach Martin and cornerback Hayden Pfeiffer were recognized following a vote of the league's head coaches and sports information directors.

Belquist, a second team selection in 2022, led the Fighting Hawks with 56 catches for 845 yards and eight touchdowns last season. Krzanowski was an honorable mention all-league pick in 2022 after recording 69 tackles, including 6.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.

Martin was a second team all-league selection in 2022, starting all 11 games at center. Pfeiffer, a transfer from Wyoming, made six starts and appeared in all 12 games at cornerback last season.

UND Selected Fourth in Summit League Preseason Football Poll

The University of North Dakota football team has been picked to finish fourth in the Summit League preseason poll, the league announced on Tuesday.

South Dakota State was picked as the favorite to win the league, followed by North Dakota State and Southern Illinois.

The Fighting Hawks are coming off a 7-5 season in 2022, their first under head coach Bubba Schweigert.
