Chicago Bears Plan to Build New Stadium

State-of-the-Art Facility to Be Located Near Soldier Field

Bears Commit Over $2 Billion to Project

In a major development for the Chicago sports landscape, the Chicago Bears have unveiled plans to build a new state-of-the-art fixed-roof stadium on the Museum Campus in Chicago. The stadium, which is expected to cost over $2 billion, will be the new home of the Bears and will include a variety of amenities, including a retractable roof and a seating capacity of approximately 65,000.

"We are excited to announce our plans for a new stadium that will be a world-class destination for sports and entertainment," said Bears President and CEO Ted Phillips. "This stadium will be a source of pride for our fans and the entire city of Chicago."

The new stadium will be located just a short distance from Soldier Field, the Bears' current home. The move to a new stadium has been in the works for several years, as Soldier Field has become increasingly outdated and inadequate for the Bears' needs.

The Bears have committed to contributing over $2 billion to the cost of the new stadium. The remaining funding will come from a variety of sources, including public financing and private investment.

The new stadium is expected to open in 2026. The Bears will continue to play their home games at Soldier Field until the new stadium is completed.
