Cagliari 5-2 Fiorentina: Viola Travolti da Nainggolan e Simeone
Fiorentina's dismal start to the season continued with a humiliating 5-2 defeat at Cagliari on Monday
Goals from Radja Nainggolan, Giovanni Simeone, and a brace from Keita Baldé Diao gave the hosts a comfortable victory as Fiorentina remained rooted to the bottom of the Serie A standings
Cagliari took the lead in the 19th minute when Gaston Pereiro's cross found Nainggolan, who headed home from close range. Fiorentina drew level just 10 minutes later through a stunning strike from Riccardo Sottil, but Simeone restored Cagliari's advantage in the 40th minute with a fine solo goal.
Baldé Diao extended Cagliari's lead shortly after the break, but Fiorentina gave themselves hope when Alfred Duncan pulled a goal back in the 55th minute. However, any hopes of a comeback were dashed when Baldé Diao scored his second goal of the game in the 75th minute.
The defeat leaves Fiorentina bottom of Serie A with just one point from their opening four matches. Cagliari, meanwhile, moved up to 12th place with seven points
